An Ash Tree on the edge of the green at the top of Chidham Lane was suffering from several different defects and was unsafe as a result.. It had been attacked by a tree fungus Inonotus hispidus (More about this fungus here)

After a brief AGM the Guest Speaker will be Janet Goring also known as Bluebird the Storyteller. Janet talks to audiences of any age group adapting to suit their interests. She will entertain us with all manner of stories – funny, moving, intriguing. Please come along, have a cup of coffee, some home-made cake and, of course, join in the raffle. RIP Tom Willard, who died on Jan 24th. Family man, Veteran of the WW2 Burma campaign, Parish Councillor, Resident of Hamstead Meadow, known to all at the Old House at Home – see tribute from Cliff Archer. The Funeral is on Wednesday 12 February at St Mary’s, at 11.30am.
The new date is Saturday 28th March 2020, 8pm (to 10pm).
