In the summer of 2007 the ownership of the Barleycorn changed. Kevin and his family have relocated to Florida. Craig is the new owner. He also owns four other pubs in Sussex, including 'The Rose' at Pulbororugh. The Barleycorn is managed by his sister Bev. Bev's son Graham will be the permanent Chef at the Barleycorn. Bev is new to this area and plans to keep the Barleycorn very much as it is for the time being, but has some thoughts about better use of the games room. In recent years, the Barleycorn has been refurbished and the restaurant extended. There is an a la carte menu, a two course set menu and an over 50's menu. Sundays and midweek roasts are available. There are always daily specials featuring game and local produce. There is a kids menu with home-cooked food and fresh vegetables. Highchairs are available. There is a fine wine menu and good quality ales.
