FINCH Coffee Morning with AGM and Visiting Speaker, 10.30am on Saturday 16th March 2019 at St Wilfrid’s Church & Hall, Broad Road, Nutbourne

After a brief AGM the Guest Speaker will be Canon David Nason who will tell us about his fascinating and varied life entitled ‘From Pedagogue to Preacher’.  Now living in Hambrook, he is well known for his entertaining and erudite talks. Please come along, have a cup of coffee, some home-made cake and, of course, join in the raffle. Christmas Flowers for St Mary’s

Christmas Flowers: If you wish to make a donation towards Christmas flowers in St. Mary’s Church in memory of a loved one, please contact Nina Bates 01243-576331.  Alternatively, put your donation in a sealed envelope, with the name of the person(s) to be remembered on the outside.  (Cheques should be made payable to PCC of Chidham and Gift Aided if possible).  The envelope should be given to Nina or put through the empty Vicarage letter box (which will be checked regularly).  The names of those to be remembered will be displayed in the Church over the Christmas period.

Marking the 100th Anniversary of the ending of WW1 – Saturday 3rd November, St Mary’s Church 10.30am – 5pm

An exhibition commemorating the lives of those on our War Memorial. Discover their stories, find out more about who they were and the part they played in the war.
There will be exhibits, contemporary music and poetry. Refreshments. Entry is free. The majority of the exhibition will remain in St Mary’s for two weeks until Friday 16th November.

Sat Nov 3rd, 10.30 – 5pm. An Exhibition commemorating the lives of those on our WW1 war memorial. Exhibits, contemporary music and poetry from the time, and other events during the day. . Entry free, but donations to be shared between the British Legion and Church welcomed. The Exhibition will remain in St Mary’s for two weeks until Friday Nov 16th.
There will be a special Remembrance Service on Sunday Nov 11th starting at 10.30am.

Church Summer fête, Vicarage Garden, Sat 7th July  2pm – 4pm

Items to sell are now being collected including the following: Books/jigsaws, small items of bric-a-brac (no electricals please), Ornaments & glass, Handbags/scarves/jewellery, toys, unwanted gifts & toiletries, toys, plant pots, raffle prizes.  We are also collecting bottles and jars and allied items for the bottle stall.  If you have items you are willing to donate please contact Carol Vigor 01243 537216 for collection.
