WSCC has updated information about Riparian Ownership and Responsibilities to guide landowners and community groups. If you have a ditch, stream, or culvert on or next to your land you are known as a ‘riparian owner’. You have responsibilities for the upkeep of any watercourses on your land to minimize flood risk.
