June 11 FINCH on the Chichester Canal A FINCH group went on an adventure on the Chichester Canal . We had a lovely afternoon, cruising up the canal, eating cake, drinking tea or coffee, chatting and laughing. Here are some photos to remind us about our excellent outing and to encourage other folk to have a similar experience.

	plus time to chat to other FINCHes, drink coffee and eat cake
Reports from the AGM: Finch has 20 volunteers who made 148 visits in the year. There had been a tea party and a coffee morning which had raised awareness of the group. Caroline Davis was reelected Chairman, as were Amanda Rodgers as Treasurer, and Committee members Penny Allcock, Cliff Archer, Nina Bates, Harry Bates, Adrian Davis, Ginni Hayles, and Barbara Penny

Many hands make light work. If you have a few hours to spare please volunteer to help. Tasks we can help with include light gardening, hanging curtains, changing a light bulb, collecting or accompanying shopping and social visits.

Launch of FINCH and induction of volunteers.
Some of the FINCH Committee	Caroline Davis, the Co-ordinator of FINCH, and Rebecca Kennelly from Chichester Voluntary Service who has been assisting the group.

There were 22 people at the induction meeting. All volunteers have to checked before they can start, and this can take some time. So far 13 volunteers have had CRB checks and are ready to befriend on behalf of FINCH.
The Finch bag will be used for carrying necessary paperwork, and advertising around the village, and at events, and maybe will be a talking point at initial visits with users of FINCH.
