Blanket banquet
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened!
This year's ptfa blanket banquet gave the children, parents and staff a final opportunity to say an emotional farewell to Mrs. Aplin. Nanny Franacapan made a wonderful cake for the occasion and the children presented gifts on behalf of everyone, including a photo album produced by Sarah Foye and a 100 square art work made by pupils past and present.
Lynda thanked everyone for their support over the years, especially her first head teacher and had the following advice. “If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun”!

PTFA Quiz night

Friday Oct 9th 2009

Congratulations to this year's winners ‘The Dunnos', with a successful defence of their 2008 title!

But what a close run thing it was, with only 9 points separating the top seven teams and a winning margin of only one and a half a point!!

Despite having the biggest team ever, and taking an early lead, Mats cats failed to hold on, as both the Tarts, solid thru out, and the Dunnos, impressive as ever, over took them at the half way stage.

Despite full points on their joker rounds both Quizteam Aguikera and Supergirls were let down on their knowledge, or lack of it, of sport! Maybe the token gent would help next year girls?

Masterminds were found wanting in the strange fruit round-Vomit fruit (Dragon fruit) and Melony thing (Papaya) failing to gain a point!

Team name and Points

The Dunnos - 74
Top Tarts - 72.5
Mats Cats - 71.5
Quizteam Aguilera - 70
Me and the Wife+1 - 67
New Kids on the Block - 66
Master Mind - 64.5
Supergirls - 64

If you missed the evening and would like to have a go, we have attached the picture rounds for your entertainment! Simply identify the music artist by the album cover, the film title from the poster and the painters from the works of art!

Thanks to the question setters; Mitch ‘Magnus' Woods, Pete ‘Bamber' Hilton, Mollie ‘Vorderman' and Chidhams very own Old Master Carla Allen with the Art round.

Saturday May 9th - Beetle Drive 2009

Winners by one point, with a massive total of 585, ‘The Natter Latters' took this years title from ‘The Crimson Vipers' in second place. The coveted wooden spoon was awarded to ‘Joshi Jo Jo' - a fine effort!
Despite going for bust early on, the ‘Creative Mammaries' team ended up mid table -a bit of a storm in a D-cup if you ask me! Mollie C won ‘heads and tails' in the under 16 competition, and despite Maria C showing her best side in the adult game Pete H took away the bottle of fizz. Thanks to all for supporting the event, and especially those who supplied the wonderful half time food. See you all at the Barn Dance….tickets on sale soon.
