Wonderful Summer Night watching 'Grease' in a field! July 2012

For the 3rd year running the Open Air Cinema event organised by Chidham and Hambrook Film Society was a massive success. Around 200 people gathered to eat, drink, be merry and listen to a fabulous 1950's soundtrack. (The dancing was confined to the under 10's it was noted! As dusk fell the screen lit up to cheers and John Travolta strutted his stuff.

The event raised the magnificent sum of £1200 which will go towards the refurbishment of the Chidham & Hambrook Village Hall.

(The Film Quiz was won for the 2nd year running by Chris Dark who has donated his prize of a bottle of wine to the runners up Rick Hales & Co.)

We would like to thank our sponsors Taylor Wimpey, The Village Magazine and Bosham Walk Craft Centre. Also all those whose generosity and co-operation contributed to its success: Terry Pasquale for his van, Robin Yeld for his field, numerous residents for their electricity supply, John and Jane Huetson of the Old House, the Community website and the Village Hall committee who all worked so hard . And of course –the local community who all turned out in force to make this such a great event. Roll on next year!
