The Cubs from Southbourne Sea Scouts Visited St Mary's on the morning of Saturday 26 th June 2010
During the first part of the morning Father David showed the cubs various items within the church explaining their significance. He also showed them the new stained glass window.
Then the children split into several groups and wrote prayers, followed by a number of volunteers reading them from the pulpit.

Next some had a go at ringing the bells, or playing on the organ.

Some of these a ctivities were just for fun but some  will help the cubs gain their Faith Badge.
The cubs were then briefed by church warden Harry, and then finished the morning along with the other volunteers helping tidy the churchyard in preparation for the flower festival.
