Thursday 25th Feb, Chidham in WW2
Tthe School the WI and the Church came together to dramatise the life and times of Chidham in WW2 and some of the events.
The school showed how it felt to be an evacuee, the Church re-enacted the crash of a torpedo bomber and dramatic rescue that occurred in the village, we had the reminiscences of a Land Army girl and the WI reenacted the VE day celebrations. The evening finished with a singsong of some of the popular songs of the period.
