The West Sussex Coroners Office is seeking the identity of a mystery man who died when he fell from his cycle in Chichester. At about 8.20pm on Saturday 30 March a member of the public heard the noise of a bike falling over in Westgate, Chichester, and found the man lying on the ground gasping. He was taken to St. Richard's Hospital, Chichester where he was sadly pronounced dead. A police investigation has discounted any suspicious circumstances or any road collision and a post mortem has shown that the man died of natural causes. read more

Spoof News section

(or why you should not believe everything you read on the internet)
What is this word spoof? It has been defined as
1 Nonsense; tomfoolery.
2 A hoax.
3 A gentle satirical imitation; a light parody.
4 The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
But which is it? Tricky, huh?
If you have a Spoof News Scoop, please send it to us, and we will do our best to include it today, tomorrow, sometime or ......well it depends on our lawyers, who we pay handsomely for their 'I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole' advice.

Spoof news
Currently there is not a lot of spoof news. Sometimes there just isn't any news, but it doesn't stop the BBC from filling a half hour slot at 1pm with no news and repeating the 'no news' every hour on the hour. Here at Chidham and Hambrook, we tell it like it is.
However, we promise that just as soon as one of us gets round to writing some news, we will let you have it, up to the minute, just as its breaking, raw, unvarnished, cliche free, and without any attempt to hide the earth shattering implications for the local community.
Disappointed?
