Film Night at the Village Hall, Friday April 13th, ‘Billy Elliot the Musical Live’

In a departure from our usual screenings we have decided to do something a little bit different……. Billy Elliot the Musical Live is a 2014 British filmed version of Elton John’s Billy Elliot the Musical (2005), which in turn was based on the 2000 film Billy Elliot. Stephen Daldry directed both the original film and the 2014 musical adaptation.
Set in a northern town during the miners’ strike of 1984/5, the show follows Billy’s journey from boxing ring to ballet class where he discovers a passion for dance that unites his family, inspires his community and changes his life forever. Brought to life by the award-winning creative team behind the film and featuring iconic music by Elton John, Billy Elliot is an extraordinary theatrical experience that has captivated audiences around the world. Older children welcome ( 9+)
