Activities at Chidham Village Hall
| Village Hall re-launch and new Village Film Society The village hall management committee have decided to re-launch the facility under the new name "Chidham & Hambrook Village Hall" As part of the process they are urging societies and individuals to start using the hall and bring it back to life. One such venture is the newly formed Chidham & Hambrook Film Society which is holding its inaugural meeting on Friday 26th September at 7pm. The evening will start with a glass of wine or a fruit based mineral drink and nibbles. This will be followed by the film and finally there will be tea/coffee and sausage rolls whilst a discussion is held on the film and the direction the members would like the Society to take in the future. We are planning on an audience of 50+ so come along and join the fun. We are particularly lucky in securing the rights to show "Lands of Our Fathers" as the first film. This deals with political and social change in Zimbabwe, the former Southern Rhodesia, and is particularly topical in view of current events in that country. |
