A Gentleman's Homburg - with a history - joined the hat of a 1970s London Ambulance driver, wedding hats, fancy hats and a Girl Guide beret from the 1950s in a display to enhance a fascinating talk on Elegance given by Mrs Maureen Aldous. WI members from the villages of Bosham, Chidham, Fishbourne and Funtington were amused and delighted by stories of what we have in our wardrobes, think is elegant, but never actually wear! News from the County and National WI included encouragement to buy environmentally-friendly Jute Shopping Bags from the WI; waste reduction and recycling are big issues being actively pursued by WI members everywhere in 2006.
